BINDERY: A NAMIWalks Kickoff: an evening of Poetry, Art, Music

Wednesday, April 17, 2019 - 6:30pm
Body:

The Bindery hosts the SF branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness for a special night of poetry, art, and music. Please join us!

NAMI SF is proud to announce that we are hosting our very own NAMIWalks on September 21, 2019 at Lake Merced! This evening of poetry, art, and music serves as our kickoff event as we will be signing participants up for teams during the Walk.

But that's not all:

We at NAMI San Francisco seek to educate, support, and advocate for those who are struggling with a mental illness as well as their caregivers. We would love submissions of poems and other works from the community and hear your creative voices on experiences you may have had with mental health (whether it's your own or you loved one's).

This will also be a great opportunity to meet the staff and board members of NAMI San Francisco, and to sign up for our upcoming NAMIWalk!

For submissions and other inquiries, please contact Stephanie Li at sli@namisf.org. Submissions are due no later than Friday, April 12th.

Please note that not all submissions will be used but we will do our best to include as many as possible.

Please note: this event will be held at The Bindery, 1727 Haight.

This is an all ages event with mature themes. The bar opens with the doors at 6:30pm.

RSVP appreciated but not required
