Skip Horack is the author of the story collection The Southern CrossLouisiana and now lives in Burlingame. (about which Colm Toibin wrote, “These stories evoke places with a sharp, sensuous and at times magical skill. Horack’s style has a beautiful edge to it; the range of his sympathy makes this a wonderful collection.”). He is a Jones Lecturer in Fiction at Stanford, and was also a Wallace Stegner Fellow. He practiced law for five years inLouisiana and now lives in Burlingame.
