Chrystal Bougon, Owner & Resident Curvy Girl at Curvy Girl Inc., is a High Tech Refugee who got laid off from her High Tech job in Silicon Valley during the dot com bomb in 2002. This eventually led Bougon to open the first ever Plus Size lingerie boutique, Curvy Girl Lingerie. Curvy Girl, in San Jose, CA, is the first lingerie store in the U.S. for plus-size women. With a “Sexy Isn’t a Size” motto, the store carries items in sizes 14-6x. Bougon created Curvy Girl in October 2012 because she believes that all women deserve a safe place to shop, without judgment, where they can find sexy lingerie and panties that fit well and make them feel pretty and sexy. Chrystal has been a very loud supporter of sexy positivity and body positivity since 2003. She has a vibrant Curvy Girl community on Facebook and Instagram and invites people of all sizes to join her online communities.
