Body:

Elissa Shevinsky is an serial entrepreneur, tech veteran, and editor of Lean Out: The Struggle for Gender Equality in Tech and Start-up Culture. Lean Out is a collection of 25 essays that illustrate the split between the stated ideals of modern tech companies versus the realities of workplace culture for female employees. This is told from a range of voices—from women who’ve started their own companies, to women who continue to work at some of the most successful corporations in the US, to LGBTQ women, women of color, and transgender people—all of whom are fed up with the tech industry.
